At PiqueTickets, we are committed to fostering a fair, secure, and transparent marketplace for independent comedy shows and events.
1. Prohibited Practices
Scalping and Price Gouging:
Sellers must not inflate ticket prices unfairly. All ticket prices should reflect the value of the event and remain accessible to audiences. PiqueTickets reserves the right to review and flag events with pricing discrepancies.
Unauthorized Reselling:
Sellers must not engage in reselling tickets beyond the original transaction. Resale activities that inflate prices or manipulate availability are strictly prohibited.
2. Ticket Authenticity and Name Matching
ID Matching Requirement:
The name on the ticket must match the ID of the attendee at the event. This policy ensures the security of ticket holders and prevents fraudulent activity. Producers are required to verify IDs at the event entrance using the PiqueTickets check-in app.
Name Changes:
Name changes on tickets are allowed up to 24 hours before the event. The producer must facilitate this process via the PiqueTickets platform.
3. Event Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation Policy:
If an event is canceled, the seller is responsible for initiating refunds to all ticket holders. PiqueTickets will assist in processing refunds but does not cover refund costs.
Rescheduled Events:
In the case of a rescheduled event, ticket holders must be notified immediately, and their tickets must remain valid for the new date. Sellers should provide refund options for those unable to attend the new date.
No Refund Policy Exceptions:
If a no-refund policy applies, it must be clearly communicated to buyers during the ticket purchase process.
4. Event Compliance
Legal Requirements:
Sellers are responsible for ensuring their events comply with all local, state, and federal laws, including licensing and permits.
Accessibility:
Sellers must ensure venues are accessible and comply with applicable regulations (e.g., ADA compliance in the U.S.).
5. Platform Usage and Integrity
Accurate Event Listings:
Event descriptions, dates, times, and venues must be accurate and kept up-to-date. Misleading or false information will result in removal from the platform.
Prohibited Content:
Events promoting hate speech, violence, or illegal activities are strictly prohibited.
Fee Disclosure:
All fees, including ticketing and processing fees, must be transparently displayed during the purchase process.
6. Dispute Resolution
Buyer Disputes:
PiqueTickets will mediate disputes between buyers and sellers to the best of its ability. Sellers are expected to cooperate in resolving any issues.
Platform Violations:
Violations of this policy may result in penalties, including event removal, account suspension, or permanent banning from the platform.
